Ending Period Poverty

Our youth led chapters offers all middle schools, high schools, educational Institutes and community organizations the opportunity to explore and develop skills of leadership and advocacy as well as to tap into resources and tools to work on solutions that can help end period poverty.

We believe that every person has the right to change the world, however, we know that not everyone has the opportunity to do so.

Statistics

Our reality

1 in 5 girls

In the U.S. have missed school due to lack of access to period product.

In Florida 79%

of female students in public school grades 7-12 attend Title I Schools.

2 in 5 young people

don’t feel prepared for their first period.

58% of young girls

lose confidence at puberty, and starting their period marks girls’ lowest point in confidence during their teenage years.

Ending Period Poverty

Our Work

"The creativity, passion, and energy that Aanya Patel has given to our community through her work on Periods in Pandemic is making a big difference in so many of our middle and high school females. Her focus on meeting the needs of our youth has made a huge impact on so many, along with being a great role model and inspiration to those around her. She defines the importance and necessity of giving back to our neighbors and those in need. "

"It was a wonderful surprise to receive a shipment of feminine products for our young ladies at our school. There are many times our students do not have the supplies that they need to handle their menstrual cycle. They now have a place to come to and be able to pick up supplies that they need. "
